goodwork connects you with tattoo artists in southern california to browse, book with a deposit, and message.
we answer within a day.
pick a flash design, or ask an artist for custom work. some artists confirm flash on the spot when you pick one of their open times; otherwise your request goes to the artist and they confirm it. a deposit, set by the artist and paid through stripe, holds your spot. the rest is paid at or after the session.
to change the time, message your artist from the booking. if you cancel a confirmed booking or don't show up, the deposit isn't refunded: the artist keeps it for the time they held for you. if the artist cancels, your deposit comes back in full through stripe, usually within 5 to 10 business days. emergencies and the like are looked at case by case, but a refund isn't guaranteed. email us if you need a hand.
goodwork is free for artists. connect a stripe account under settings → payouts. after a session, goodwork sends your stripe account what the client paid toward your price, deposit included, minus the platform fee when one applies (15% of your price on a new client's first booking that came through goodwork; nothing on bookings through your own link or from repeat clients). stripe then moves it to your bank on your stripe payout schedule, so timing isn't guaranteed.
clients: settings → danger zone → delete account. artists: settings → account → danger zone → delete account. it's permanent: your profile, bookings and messages go with it. if you'd rather we do it, email us.
in a chat, open the ⋮ menu at the top for report and block. on an artist's page, when you're signed in, the end of their details has a report link. we read every report within a day, and the person won't know it was you. blocking someone means they can't message you and your chats with them leave your inbox; you'll find them under blocked people in settings, where you can unblock them.
